Forna is to be found in the Costa Blanca approximately 5 miles inland from the seaside town of Oliva.Oliva is central to the two airports of Valencia in the North and Alicante in the South,each about 1 hour distant by car. A completely unspoilt village Forna is overlooked by a Moorish castle and nestles in the foothills of pine clad mountains.The bar/restaurant "Nautilus" is situated in the village square and day or night provides excellent meals at great value. At night time everyone likes to take full advantage of the warm air and the village square comes to life with both holidaymakers and Spanish locals enjoying the excellent food ( perhaps a little wine !!) and the friendly atmosphere. The villa is a few minutes walk from the village square and overlooks a valley of orange groves which stretches down to the sea at Oliva.A short walk from the villa you will find lemon,almond, olive,walnut,fig and pomegranite trees and herbs such as thyme and rosemary. Car hire is essential and can be arranged independently or we can recommend you a company we have used many times. If you do not wish to spend all your time relaxing by the pool there is plenty to do and see in the area surrounding Forna. The Costa Blanca provides miles of excellent unspoiled beaches and the neighbouring towns of Gandia,Oliva,Pego and Denia all have traditional Spanish markets and in addition a daily fish market is held at Denia.A half hours drive into the mountains takes you to the Jalon valley noted for its' wines and excellent restaurants.
